Content policy

Tho carries reviews, photos and messages written by the people who use it. These are the things that may not be posted. They apply to everyone: customers, stylists and salon owners alike.

  • Spam and scams

Repeated or unsolicited promotion, fake reviews, links to other services, or any attempt to take payment outside a salon's own booking. Reviews must come from a real visit.

  • Harassment and bullying

Insults, intimidation, unwanted repeated contact, or singling out a stylist or customer for abuse. Disagreeing with a salon is fine; going after the people who work there is not.

  • Hate speech

Attacks on anyone because of ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.

  • Sexual and explicit content

Nudity, sexual content, or anything soliciting sexual services. Photos must show hair, grooming or the salon itself.

  • Violence and threats

Threatening harm, encouraging violence, or graphic images of injury.

  • False or misleading claims

Reviews of a visit that never happened, prices or services a salon does not offer, or health claims that could mislead someone.

  • Other people's private information

Phone numbers, addresses, ID or payment details belonging to anyone other than yourself — including a photo that shows another customer's face without their agreement.

  • Impersonation

Posing as another person, a salon you do not work for, or Tho itself.

  • Anything else that does harm

Illegal activity, and anything that puts someone at risk. If it does not fit a category above, report it anyway and tell us why.

What happens when you report

Every report is read by a person. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that keep breaking them are suspended. You can also block someone: their messages stop reaching you and yours stop reaching them. Reporting is anonymous — the person you report is not told who reported them.
